Giving back is not just something we do—it is part of who we are.
Across every division of Landscape Development, Inc.—from construction and maintenance to arbor care and landscape architecture—we believe in supporting the communities where we live and work. Our commitment goes beyond building landscapes. It is about building relationships, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for people to thrive.
As we reflect on our recent charitable efforts, one thing is clear: when we come together with purpose, we can make a meaningful and lasting impact.
Supporting Affordable Housing Communities
The Allgire Foundation – Spring Harvest 2026
Landscape Development, Inc. is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Allgire General Contractors through our support of the Allgire Foundation.
This year’s Spring Harvest event in Carlsbad brought together more than 500 volunteers to help address food insecurity across San Diego County. Together, volunteers assembled and distributed over 20,000 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in more than 250 affordable housing communities.
This initiative directly supports families by improving access to healthy food while strengthening connections within the communities we serve. It is a mission that closely aligns with our work in affordable housing throughout Southern California.
Investing in the Future of Our Industry
Snyder Langston Scholarship Program
Through our continued partnership with Snyder Langston, Landscape Development, Inc. is helping support the next generation of builders.
This year, $27,000 in scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing degrees in construction management and civil engineering at leading universities including:
- University of Southern California
- Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
- Cal Poly Pomona
- Cal State Northridge
- Cal State Long Beach
- Cal Baptist University
An additional scholarship will be awarded through the ACE Mentor Program, helping inspire students to pursue careers in the built environment.
Supporting education is one of the most impactful ways we can invest in the future of our industry—and the communities it serves.
Honoring Those Who Serve
Semper Fi & America’s Fund
Landscape Development, Inc. is honored to support Semper Fi & America’s Fund, an organization dedicated to providing lifelong support to post-9/11 wounded, critically ill, and injured service members and their families.
Their work ensures that our nation’s heroes receive the resources they need during recovery and beyond. Supporting this organization reflects our deep respect for those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
Changing Lives Through Equine Therapy
The Shea Center
The Shea Center in San Juan Capistrano provides life-changing equine-assisted services for individuals with a wide range of disabilities.
Serving more than 1,200 participants annually, the center offers programs that include physical therapy, mental health services, adaptive riding, and personal development. With the support of more than 750 volunteers and 30 horses, their impact reaches far beyond traditional care models.
Supporting organizations like The Shea Center allows us to contribute to programs that improve quality of life and create meaningful, lasting change.
Supporting Local Communities in Need
The OC Hub – City of Orange
Landscape Development, Inc. is proud to support The OC Hub, a nonprofit organization providing essential services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
The OC Hub offers meals, showers, and laundry facilities—meeting immediate needs while creating a pathway toward stability. Working alongside community leaders and partners, including Driver SPG, this initiative reflects the power of collaboration and compassion in action.
This effort represents a shared vision: one where businesses, organizations, and individuals come together to care for their communities in meaningful and practical ways.
Fighting Food Insecurity
Three Square Food Bank – Las Vegas
Our Enhanced Landscape Management Las Vegas team recently partnered with Vestar Property Management to volunteer at Three Square Food Bank.
Together, the team packed 2,880 bags for the BackPack for Kids program—providing 11,520 meals to children in need across Southern Nevada.
This hands-on effort highlights the importance of showing up and giving back. It is a powerful reminder that making a difference does not require extra time—it requires heart.
Making an Impact in Northern California
Sacramento Team Giving Back
Our Sacramento Construction team continues to lead by example through meaningful, community-focused contributions.
In Folsom, our team is supporting improvements to one of the city’s most cherished destinations—the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. Through an initial $5,000 donation, Landscape Development, Inc. is contributing to a larger community effort led by the Leadership Folsom Class of 2025–2026 to enhance the zoo’s entrance experience.
This project aims to raise $30,000 to create a more welcoming and engaging entry for visitors. As part of our contribution, Landscape Development, Inc. will be recognized with permanent signage at the zoo—an opportunity that also opens the door for future employee and client engagement events, including a planned summer family picnic.
In addition, our Sacramento team is making a difference in Stockton by donating four Buddy Benches to Brookside Elementary School.
Buddy Benches are designed to foster connection and inclusion. When a student feels lonely or unsure, they can sit on the bench as a signal that they are looking for a friend. It creates a simple but powerful way for children to support one another and build meaningful relationships.
What makes this initiative even more special is that the students themselves will paint the benches—bringing creativity, color, and a sense of ownership to their school environment.
These efforts reflect our belief that even small contributions can have a lasting impact—especially when they promote kindness, belonging, and community.
Rooted in Purpose
Each of these initiatives reflects a shared belief across Landscape Development, Inc.:
We are here to do more than deliver exceptional landscapes—we are here to make a positive impact.
From supporting affordable housing communities and investing in future industry leaders, to honoring veterans, improving public spaces, and addressing food insecurity, our efforts are guided by a commitment to service, partnership, and responsibility.
Giving back strengthens the communities we serve—and reinforces our promise to deliver Peace of Mind in everything we do.
Building More Than Landscapes
As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding our impact and continuing to support the people and communities that make our work meaningful.
Together, we are building more than landscapes.
We are building stronger communities, lasting relationships, and a future rooted in purpose.
